Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Practitioner to cover a maternity leave position at our practice in NHS Scotland. As a GP Locum, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary care services to patients, including face-to-face appointments and telephone consultations
  • Participate in protected weekly administrative time to ensure efficient practice operations
  • Contribute to a supportive atmosphere with regular team meetings and case discussions
  • Work with our Nurse Practitioner and practice nurse-led clinics to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Collaborate with our community district nursing and CTAC teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Utilize our EMIS and Docman clinical IT systems, MJOG, and Lexacom to manage patient records and communicate with colleagues
  • Work within a General Medical Services (GMS) practice with a patient population of 9400
  • Join a team of 7 GP Partners with a strong focus on patient-centered care

  • We have a supportive and friendly multidisciplinary team, with locally based health visitors and in-house services such as minor surgery, family planning, and child health surveillance

Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Experience in primary care, preferably in a similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
