Job Title: General Practitioner Locum Required

We are seeking a General Practitioner to cover a short-term period of paternity leave for one of our GP partners.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our existing team to ensure seamless delivery of services.

The role will involve routine on-the-day clinics, emergency doctor sessions, and other clinical activities as required of a General Medical Practitioner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing routine on-the-day clinics of 15-minute appointments
  • Sharing half-day emergency doctor sessions, usually once or twice a week
  • Undertaking all clinical activities as required of a General Medical Practitioner
  • Completing administrative and paperwork tasks associated with the role
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be fully registered with the GMC and on the Lothian Performers List.

You will also need to have a full driving licence and access to a car.

Remuneration:

The successful candidate will be paid on a self-employed basis, with a rate of £250 per session.

You will be responsible for your own tax and will be paid on a monthly basis in arrears.

Indemnity:

You will be responsible for adequate defence union cover for the duration of the locum period.

Private Work:

You will be entitled to any income from private work and will be responsible for the tax relating to this work.
