Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part-time Aviation Security Cargo Screener to join our team at UPS. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our people, aircraft, facilities, and packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and screen packages to prevent and mitigate possible threats
  • Use various screening technology, processes, and procedures to screen packages and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Work efficiently to ensure a smooth running of operations and meet tight and critical deadlines
  • Participate in and verify daily equipment inspections
  • Safeguard the air cargo network
  • Escalate quality and process issues to ensure they are handled appropriately by your supervisor
  • Monitor general work areas
  • Actively promote effective Security culture
Requirements
  • Basic literacy and numeracy
  • Professional interest in safety and security
  • Ability to successfully pass security checks, e.g., background, criminal records
  • Ability to successfully pass an eye test (colour-blindness test)
  • Good judgment, decision-making, and good communication skills
  • Diligence and a keen eye for detail
