Overview: Birmingham Forward Steps is a comprehensive service that collaborates with various organizations to support families with children from birth to five years old. This initiative aims to provide accessible, community-oriented services in various settings, ensuring that families receive the assistance they need.

Position: Barnardo's is currently looking for a full-time Administrative Support Team Supervisor to oversee operations at our designated Children's Centre/Family Hub.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education/Knowledge: Strong numeracy and literacy skills to perform complex calculations and generate reports.
  • Experience:
    • Extensive office experience.
    • Proficient in IT applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
    • Experience in managing facilities and premises.
    • Ability to interact effectively with the public and various agencies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular health and safety assessments.
  • Certification as a First Aider and Fire Marshall is required.
  • Documenting minutes during team meetings and other relevant gatherings.
  • Providing effective supervision and management of a team of administrative staff.
  • Assisting the Children's Services Manager and the management team.
  • Overseeing internal financial administration.

Experience in formal staff management is beneficial, as this role includes direct oversight of several team members.
