Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Forecasting
- Lead Strategic Financial Planning: Oversee annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and strategic plans.
- Accurate Financial Forecasting: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to refine inputs for precise forecasts.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- In-Depth Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analyses to understand the impact of volume, price, and cost changes on profits.
- Present Financial Insights: Simplify and communicate financial data in team meetings.
- Commercial Analysis and ROI: Analyze pricing, promotions, and return on investment (ROI) to support commercial decisions.
Strategic and Operational Support
- Support Strategic Initiatives: Assist with customer negotiations, new product proposals, and promotional plans.
- Ad Hoc Analysis and Support: Provide critical data and analysis for various teams.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to support decision-making and ensure seamless operations.
Tools and Accuracy
- Leverage Advanced Tools: Use tools like Adaptive and PowerBI for reporting.
- Ensure Financial Accuracy: Maintain the reliability of financial statements.
Candidate Profile
- Proven Commercial Business Partnering experience in a consumer goods business.
- Ideally a qualified accountant (e.g., CA, CIMA, ACCA, ACMA).
- Desirable background in rapidly growing businesses.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Inquisitive and driven to improve current practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced Excel skills, capable of handling large data sets.
