About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design and Estimating Manager to join our team at SSE Enterprise. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that our engineering practice and capability are mirrored in the design and estimating process of building management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sales Directors and Business Managers to improve the technical capability of the projects sales team.
  • Develop a centrally managed, regionally distributed, estimating function.
  • Oversee the technical training requirements of our Sales Development Programme.
  • Manage the timely output of technical proposals to agreed service levels.
  • Work with strategic partners to evaluate the benefits of new products and support the business in the functional development of its estimating tools.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an estimating or design focused role within the BEMS industry.
  • In-depth technical understanding of Building Controls Systems, as well as the ability to engage in technical discussions in a clear and easily understood manner.
  • The desire to develop the technical competence of new and existing salespeople.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure a collaborative approach to working with all stakeholders, including customers and external service providers.
  • A driving license will be required due to travel to and from sites.
