About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner to join our team at Windrush Medical Practice. As a Locum General Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality family medicine with a focus on continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a full range of general medical services to patients, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and home visits.
  • Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, and develop care plans in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
  • Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness, and provide counselling and health education as needed.
  • Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards, and collect data for audit purposes and comply with QOF requirements.
  • Deliver enhanced services, including compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions, and prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary.
Person Specification
  • Qualified General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT) with full GMC Registration, National Performers List registration, and appropriate defence indemnity.
  • Eligibility to practice in the UK independently.
  • MRCGP qualification desirable.
