About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a young boy with autism, global development delay, and non-verbal communication. The successful candidate will provide daily support and care, enabling the individual to access social activities and participate in leisure activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and/or prompt with personal care, including toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, and getting dressed.
  • Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
  • Support to get to and from school/work/college/social activities.
  • Support and/or prompt the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.
  • Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.

The ideal candidate will be patient, supportive, and caring, with previous experience in childcare or special needs. They will also be able to work on their own initiative and follow instructions accurately.

Requirements
  • Be honest, reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.
  • Previous experience in childcare/special needs is essential.
  • First Aid qualification is required.
