As a vital member of the Homerton Healthcare Therapy Department, you will receive the support necessary to enhance your knowledge, refine your physiotherapy expertise, and advance your professional growth, alongside developing your supervisory and leadership capabilities.
The successful candidate will deliver specialized physiotherapy services to a diverse patient population requiring assessment and rehabilitation across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, while also engaging in continuous service evaluation and enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting specialized physiotherapy assessments for patients with varied presentations and intricate physical and psychological conditions, formulating diagnoses, and creating tailored treatment plans.
- Establishing patient goals and assessing progress using relevant outcome measures pertinent to the service area.
- Effectively communicating with patients, many of whom may have sensory, cognitive, and/or mental health challenges, employing a variety of verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to secure informed consent for treatment and rehabilitation initiatives.
- Managing and prioritizing an assigned clinical caseload based on team-specific criteria.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Engaging with families and both formal and informal caregivers to facilitate safe and effective care delivery.
