Job Summary:

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the finance team of a leading manufacturing firm. This role is critical to the company's operations and offers a dynamic work environment where confidentiality and discretion are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process purchase invoices and maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare payment runs and manage cash flow related to supplier payments, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries, providing excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Maintain confidential financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk, preferably within a manufacturing setting, with a strong understanding of financial transactions and accounting principles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems, with the ability to navigate and utilize system functionality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
