Job Summary

The Fire Safety Advocate is a key role within the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, responsible for supporting the Group Fire Safety Manager in the development and implementation of the Group Fire Safety Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide fire safety advice, support, and training to various departments within the Trust.
  • Assist in driving change in fire safety awareness and best practices across the organization.
  • Support with day-to-day fire safety activities, including implementing fire safety policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders and committees to ensure fire safety compliance.
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and investigate fire-related incidents to identify areas for improvement.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust and contribute to the delivery of high-quality fire safety services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in fire safety and risk management, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • GCSE in Maths, English, and a Science-related subject.
  • Desirable qualifications include Engineering, Health & Safety, Nebosh, or IOSH certifications.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of staff and a strong understanding of the healthcare sector.

  • Strong keyboard skills and ability to plan and manage workload.
