As a vital member of the Engineering and Maintenance division, the Maintenance Planner plays a crucial role in supporting Operations by collaborating closely with the Maintenance Team. This position involves the development and execution of a comprehensive asset care strategy for each scheduled shutdown. Responsibilities include preparing daily maintenance tasks and efficiently scheduling and distributing these tasks to site teams. Additionally, the role encompasses the generation and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance plant reliability and minimize costs through effective data utilization from SAP.
Responsibilities The Maintenance Planner is responsible for strategizing all activities related to shutdowns by working in tandem with Operations and Maintenance teams. This role focuses on delivering a robust plan for each scheduled shutdown while continuously enhancing reliability, reducing labor expenses, and driving operational efficiency. Implementing effective scheduling to facilitate asset care, achieving monthly KPI targets as outlined in the scorecard. Daily collaboration with Operations is essential to maintain these targets through Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Management (QCDM) meetings. Reviewing and prioritizing work orders and requests through effective teamwork with both the Maintenance and Operations Teams. Assisting Improvement Teams by scheduling Failure Analysis work orders based on feedback received from these teams. Ensuring the production of weekly scorecards that provide feedback to teams, including labor utilization metrics, while maintaining SAP data integrity, adhering to data standards, and preparing necessary reports. Maintaining SAP data, including the addition of new equipment and corresponding asset care protocols. Actively participating in site initiatives and taking ownership of agreed-upon actions related to internal audits such as PEMM, BRC, and AIB. Qualifications Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to assist the Maintenance Team and Operations in making informed decisions. Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment, generating innovative ideas and solutions. Keen attention to detail and effective workload prioritization. Highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating effective written and verbal communication across various levels of the organization. Proficient in influencing and negotiating with others. Competent in computer applications, including Excel and Word, with the ability to operate SAP. Must exhibit assertiveness and confidence to engage actively in meetings with colleagues and external contractors at all levels. Familiarity with system equipment. Regular interaction with peers and other employees across different levels. Basic understanding of system flow streams and the impact of equipment on system efficiency and product quality.
