Procurement Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to lead our Sugar & Sweeteners category. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing global category strategies to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base, and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage procurement for assigned categories globally.
- Lead negotiations of procured materials and services to assure optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation) achieved.
- Develop and implement strategies to assure lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation.
- Develop and document in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers.
- Assist with make vs. buy decisions.
- Conduct formal presentations and coordinate & conduct supplier reviews.
- Participate in the planning and forecasting process to establish standard costs and provide explanations for price variances at Division level.
- Promote high level of customer satisfaction in supporting the needs of Divisional projects & requirements for Purchasing guidance & leadership.
- Lead cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study.
- Experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with traded commodity markets/hedging experience.
- Experience in project management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross-functional projects.
- Experience in leading projects/process improvement initiatives.
- Experience in managing, leading developing dynamic work teams.
- Proven experience and results on major cost savings initiatives.
- Thorough knowledge of industries for assigned categories.
- Technical awareness in assigned categories.
- Systems capabilities to maximize supplier performance and negotiating leverage.
- Ability to assess and analyze moderately complex business issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or other equivalent Master's Degree.
- CPM or APICS certification.
