Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at McCormick & Company. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing assigned categories and developing global category strategies to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base, and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement for assigned categories globally, ensuring optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation) is achieved.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize costs while mitigating risk to the Corporation.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chains, and suppliers.
  • Assist with make vs. buy decisions and conduct supplier reviews.
  • Participate in the planning and forecasting process to establish standard costs and provide explanations for price variances.
  • Promote high levels of customer satisfaction by supporting the needs of Divisional projects and requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in purchasing/supply chain environment with relevant business experience.
  • Experience in project management, execution of large, multiple, or cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in leading projects/process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in managing and leading dynamic work teams.
  • Proven experience and results on major cost savings initiatives.
  • Thorough knowledge of industries for assigned categories.
  • Technical awareness in assigned categories.
  • Systems capabilities to maximize supplier performance and negotiating leverage.
  • Ability to assess and analyze moderately complex business issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other equivalent Master's Degree.
  • CPM or APICS certification.
