Job Description

We are looking for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about education and has a genuine interest in helping children achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Individual and Group Support: Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Behaviour Management: Support the implementation of the school's behaviour policy, promoting positive behaviour and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents as required.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Assist with the planning and supervision of extra-curricular activities and school trips.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a proactive approach to supporting student learning.
  • Attributes: Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
