Job Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support schools in the Pontefract area. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the educational success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to students
  • Lead and manage a class of students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Monitor and assess student progress, identifying areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with special educational needs

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience of working with children at Primary age
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel to various school locations
  • Hold a child enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
