About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Countywide Early Intervention in Psychosis Team at East London NHS Foundation Trust. Our team provides specialized community services for individuals and families experiencing a first episode of psychosis in Bedfordshire and Luton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver full care packages and provide psychosocial interventions for adults with mental health needs.
  • Conduct specialist assessments related to Psychosis and At Risk Mental States.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to offer high-quality social care services.
  • Maintain professional development and adherence to Social Work England standards.
  • Liaise with various healthcare and community services to provide a recovery-focused model of care.
Person Specification
  • Essential: Experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, familiarity with NHS/Local Authority settings.
  • Desirable: Post-qualification experience in mental health services, training as an AMHP/BIA.
  • Essential: Conduct Care Act assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and manage complex situations effectively.
  • Desirable: Thorough knowledge of mental health legislation and codes of practice.
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Desirable: Degree-level education, specialized post-graduate training.
