About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Decanter Balancer/Fitter to join our team at Alfa Laval UK&I in Camberley. As a member of our Service Centre, you will be responsible for the disassembly and re-assembly of rotating mechanical equipment, including the balancing of critical components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strip and inspect decanters in preparation for maintenance
  • Clean equipment using jet washing and chemical cleaning methods
  • Dismantle and reassemble gearboxes
  • Rebuild equipment to manufacturer specifications
  • Use technical drawings to guide disassembly and re-assembly
  • Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment
  • Understand and apply Health and Safety protocols
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An appropriate apprenticeship or qualification in engineering
  • Experience working with hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Good IT skills
