Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Older Adults

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work with older adults and people with dementia, providing high-quality psychological care and support.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Psychologist will work across our Older Adult inpatient wards, providing a flexible combination of inpatient work spanning services for older adults both with and without dementia. The role will involve psychological therapy, neuropsychological assessment, group work, carer support, and training of non-psychology colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality psychological care and support to older adults and people with dementia
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective care
  • Conduct neuropsychological assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Provide training and supervision to non-psychology colleagues
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines
Person Specification:
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience of working with older adults and people with dementia
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
