Job Title: Marine Electrician / Electrical Engineer

Verto People is seeking a skilled Marine Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing electrical repair, service, and maintenance on industrial electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide electrical repair, service, and maintenance on industrial electrical systems such as marine vessels, boats, generators, control sensors, control panels, battery power sources, AC/DC circuits, and other industrial electrical related products and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with the 18th edition wiring regulations for all electrical work completed.
  • Submit accurate visit and time sheets duly signed by the customer upon completion of the work.
  • Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs industrial electrical engineering systems / equipment such as marine vessels, AC/DC circuits, generators.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements:
  • Proven diagnostic skills on complicated industrial electrical engineering systems.
  • Experience as a Marine Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Marine Electrician / Industrial Electrician / Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer or similar.
  • Experience working on industrial electrical engineering systems such as marine vessels, ships, generators, power distribution systems, navigation systems, control panels, AC/DC circuits, and or similar electrical engineering products / systems.
  • Will be proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Offshore experience is desired but by no means essential.
  • A technical mechanical / electrical / electronic / instrumentation qualification, apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
  • Must be commutable to Aberdeen Harbour.
