We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer II, Manufacturing Engineering to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in a wide range of maintenance engineering activities, including planned and unplanned maintenance, to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
- Utilize operational excellence and continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Drive improvements across the maintenance team to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, and reduce non-value add activities.
- Complete important documentation, including highlighting errors or bad practices and making suggestions for improvements.
- Acquire services/components and generate documentation, including purchase orders and quotations.
- Hold accountability and responsibility for ensuring all personal activities are reliably closed on time.
- Write clear and accurate maintenance instructions and assist with training and instruction of engineering and non-engineering staff.
- Multi-skilled engineer with a good understanding of electrical control and automated systems.
- Standard of technical skills of HND level or higher and the ability to demonstrate expertise in working within a manufacturing environment.
- Proactive and logical person with problem-solving skills and the ability to utilize lean philosophies.
- Ability to work to critical timelines and effective interpersonal skills.
- Alignment to COMAH standards is critical.
