Teaching Assistant Level 3 Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Teaching Assistant Level 3 at Hob Moor Oaks Academy, a special school in York. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils with special educational needs.
Job Role- Teaching Assistant: Provide individual and group support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and develop their skills and knowledge.
- Behaviour Management: Implement clear boundaries and routines to promote positive behaviour and manage challenging situations.
- Communication: Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and other staff members to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Working PatternThis is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during school term time.
Contract TypeThis is a permanent contract.
SalaryThe salary for this position is £25,992 - £27,711 per annum, pro rata, with an actual salary of £21,277.23 - £22,684.42.

You will have a calm and positive disposition, the ability to break down activities into small steps, and nurture, inspire, challenge, and motivate pupils.
Requirements- Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting pupils with special educational needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other staff members.
- Positive behaviour management skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
