Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a leading role in aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
- Ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
- Developing design deliverables.
- Completing checking and approval processes.
- Arranging procurement of goods and services.
- Preparing work scope estimates/quotations.
- Assembling contract works information documents.
- Considering project health and safety, quality, and environmental matters.
- Liaising with all key stakeholders for the projects.
- Implementing project change control and programme requirements.
- Taking responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of British and European design standards.
- A minimum of 5 years' proven track record as a Mechanical Engineer in both a design office and in a construction environment within the Water (or related Process) Industry.
