Grafton Banks Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth cash flow operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation: Review and reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments, adjustments, and transactions are accurately recorded.
- Payment Allocation: Accurately allocate incoming payments to customer accounts and ensure that all transactions are properly documented and matched to corresponding invoices.
- Invoicing: Generate and issue invoices, ensuring that all details are correct and in line with agreed terms and conditions.
- Payment Terms Review: Assess and review payment terms with clients, negotiate adjustments if necessary, and update records accordingly.
- Backlog Management: Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the ledger backlog, working diligently to clear old or disputed items.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an accounts receivable or similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to commit to a temporary contract.
