Job Title: Carbon Partnerships Lead

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Carbon Partnerships Lead to join our team. As a key member of our business development and partnerships building team, you will be responsible for originating, growing, and implementing successful partnerships with carbon removal projects around the globe, with a particular focus on the global south.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Originate, onboard, and manage carbon removal project partnerships, ensuring alignment with our clients' preferences for project quality, deliverability, and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project development partners, providing support and guidance on carbon markets, standards, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with our scientific and risk teams to develop due diligence and risk modeling frameworks across methodologies.
  • Represent Opna at developer-oriented events and forums, promoting our company and services.
Requirements:
  • Experience in carbon markets, particularly with carbon removal technologies in the nature-based and engineered carbon space.
  • Strong understanding and network in the carbon removal ecosystem, including project developers, industry players, standards, and methodologies.
  • Previous success in business development, sales, community building, or partnerships functions.
  • Strongly preferred: extensive experience working with nature-based projects in the global south.
