Role Overview
We are seeking dynamic and motivated Warehouse Operations Leaders to oversee Night shifts. In this pivotal role, you will guide business unit teams in effectively managing and enhancing Ocado's platforms to maximize value for clients and customers alike. Your leadership will directly impact the operational success and employee satisfaction within your region. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will inspire and develop your team to excel in all facets of site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspire and support large teams in fast-paced operational settings.
- Contribute to the formulation of site and regional strategies.
- Drive operational excellence and innovate customer service approaches.
- Manage team resources, preparing and justifying budgets aligned with expected workloads.
- Communicate key business results and continuous improvement initiatives effectively to your team.
- Collaborate with support teams to meet site and operational targets.
- Encourage ongoing training and development to foster succession planning.
- Champion continuous improvement processes to enhance customer experiences.
- Review and adjust performance metrics to boost productivity and standards.
- Ensure adherence to food safety protocols to maintain product quality.
- Provide thorough handovers to subsequent managers, highlighting operational insights and opportunities.
Shift Details
This role involves a commitment of 48 hours per week, working 12-hour shifts starting in the evening, including regular weekend duties. The position requires physical stamina, including standing and walking for extended periods and lifting items weighing up to 30kg.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and numerical proficiency, thriving in a KPI-driven environment. Experience in leading diverse teams in a high-pressure setting is essential. A passion for talent development, along with a solid understanding of Health & Safety best practices, is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with computerized warehouse management systems are highly desirable.
