About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team in Bedford. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for managing and leading audit engagements from planning to completion, including monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead audit engagements, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and completeness
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as their primary point of contact for any queries or concerns
  • Coordinate junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of audit tasks
  • Review audit work, financial statements, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for business growth and development
  • Support business development initiatives, identifying new service lines and opportunities for expansion
  • Assist with the pitch and tender process for new work, preparing associated documents and presentations
  • Work closely with Partners to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met

Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification
  • Significant experience managing a portfolio in UK practice
  • Previous supervisory experience with good people management skills
  • Strong working knowledge of audit software, such as Caseware
  • Confident using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Good time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure
  • A team player with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
