Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Children's Complex Care Senior Nurse to join our team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS FT. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert clinical care and advice to staff, children, and families with complex healthcare needs.

About the Role

As a Children's Complex Care Senior Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to children with complex healthcare needs, including those with life-limiting and deteriorating conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care and advice to staff, children, and families with complex healthcare needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide symptom management plans for children with complex healthcare needs.
  • Support the Clinical Lead in the development of clinical pathways and service improvement initiatives.
  • Provide education and training to staff, children, and families on complex healthcare needs and symptom management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN) or Registered Nurse (RN) Child Branch qualification.
  • Experience working with children with complex healthcare needs, including end-of-life care.
  • Excellent assessment and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a caseload effectively.
