Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at an independent primary school in Central London. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality education and care to children aged 3 to 5 years old.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in planning and implementing engaging EYFS curriculum activities that promote holistic development in areas such as communication, social interaction, and physical skills.
  • Provide individualised attention to children, recognising and responding to their diverse needs, and offering one-on-one support to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
  • Facilitate play-based learning, creating opportunities for children to explore, experiment, and learn through play, fostering their curiosity and creativity in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Promote positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering a sense of belonging and trust within the school community.
  • Assist with assessment, observing and recording children's progress, contributing valuable insights to inform ongoing planning and evaluation.
  • Maintain a safe environment, upholding high standards of health, safety, and hygiene, ensuring the well-being of all children in your care at all times.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children aged 3 to 5 years old.
  • Ability to support the class teacher in planning and delivering EYFS curriculum activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High standards of health, safety, and hygiene.
