Job Overview

Sodexo Live is seeking an exceptional Market Hall Supervisor to lead the operations of our prestigious food concession hall at the Fulham Pier. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that matchday and regular catering operations provide an unparalleled customer experience.

As a Market Hall Supervisor, you will assist the Market Hall Manager in maintaining operational excellence and contract delivery, while building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction. You will also be responsible for bringing fresh food concepts to life and ensuring that crucial KPIs are met.

The Fulham Pier will become the heart of the community, and we are looking for someone who can help us make it a standard bearer for indulgent experiences, attracting both Londoners and tourists from around the world.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate a large team, maintaining uniform standards within the Market Hall.
  • Assist in delivering staff training plans.
  • Ensure food and beverage units are set up according to SOP, and provide operational assistance as needed.
  • Liaise with traders and resolve operational concerns, ensuring stock levels are suitable, and assist with effective shift management.
  • Work with contractors, including cleaning and maintenance, to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Comply with Sodexo's Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and processes.
  • Assist in ensuring that direct reports and on-site staff adhere to all Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Support in managing day-to-day and matchday operational challenges, such as handling stock, staff scheduling, and customer service during high-traffic periods.
  • Collaborate with the Market Hall Manager to ensure compliance with stadium and logistics site regulations.
  • Help address any immediate operational concerns, such as equipment failure, staff shortages, or unexpected demand, ensuring minimal disruption to service.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in contract catering or retail in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of handling operational challenges.
  • Positive, hands-on attitude with flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • A solid background in working with key stakeholders internally and externally to achieve targets.
  • The flexibility to work 5 over 7 days.
  • A guest-first approach and ability to adapt style to a broad range of experiences.
What We Offer

You will be rewarded with a salary of between £30,000 and £40,000, plus access to a range of benefits, including a performance-related bonus, employer pension contribution, and life assurance.
