Lead Marketing and Communications Strategist

Role Overview
The Lead Marketing and Communications Strategist will play a pivotal role in amplifying awareness of our initiatives and enhancing engagement across various programs, including Net Zero Neighbourhoods and Regional Investor Events.
This position involves crafting a comprehensive communications strategy, managing its execution, and collaborating with key stakeholders within our extensive local authority networks and investor communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic communications plan aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify and leverage marketing opportunities across multiple programs.
- Curate and produce content for diverse communication channels.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including newsletters and reports.
- Plan and execute communication initiatives to expand community engagement, including public relations and events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support their communication needs.
- Manage the marketing budget effectively.
- Promote an inclusive and equitable approach in all communication activities.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven ability to develop engaging communication programs.
- Strong tactical marketing skills with a strategic mindset.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Experience in managing social media campaigns to enhance engagement.
- Proficient in content planning and management.
- Experience in organizing events and workshops.
Desirable:
- Experience in government communications.
- Familiarity with net-zero initiatives.
