Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our dynamic and friendly team in Telford. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cash flow model, managing company bank accounts, and allocating purchase invoices to PO's.

The Role
  • Maintain the cash flow model, including cash flow reconciliation.
  • Manage company bank accounts.
  • Allocate Purchase Invoices to PO's; allocate project costs to projects, upload invoices.
  • Manage creditors, overdue payments, credit control.
  • Raise sales invoices and allocate to projects.
  • Manage payment to debtors.
  • Onboarding new customers.
  • Maintain company vehicle accounts and track card allocations; manage fuel card and track card spend and allocation.
  • Oversee payroll for outsourcing.
  • Bank and finance reconciliations.
  • Quarterly VAT reconciliations and submissions.
  • Management Accounts – WIP, Corporation Tax, Prepayments/Accruals, Salary Journals, Month End Journals.
  • Work with Compliance to ensure insurances are paid and are the best quality and fit for purpose.
  • Work with Compliance to onboard new suppliers.
  • Completion of PQQ's.
  • Business Financial Analytics – Costings, Forecasts, Scenario Reporting, Budgets.
  • CIS Returns for Subcontractors.
  • Improving Financial Processes in line with the business.
  • Oversee Project Finances.
The Candidate
  • We are looking for a Part Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • You should be a self-starter who can work on your own initiative.
  • You are analytical and conscientious.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship building skills – with customers and colleagues.
  • You enjoy working in a small, close knit and friendly team.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Committed, with enthusiasm and passion for a job well done; achieving the best business outcomes.
