About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our Ophthalmology department at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality eye care services to patients in our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine clinical diagnoses and develop treatment plans for patients with eye conditions.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive eye care services.
  • Conduct routine eye examinations and provide advice on eye health and vision care.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff to improve eye care services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • BSc (Hons) Optometry or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with visually impaired patients and those with learning disabilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to patients and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple sites and adapt to changing priorities.
