About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Operations Manager to join our team at CV-Library. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for managing a professional shift security team across two locations in Central London.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operations Management:
  • Ensure all security operations are conducted in compliance with statutory, company, legal, and contractual requirements.
  • Manage the site's security personnel, ensuring they are adequately trained and qualified to perform their duties.
  • Work closely with EMCOR colleagues to ensure effective management of site security, health and safety, and fire prevention requirements.
  • Oversee the security control rooms and ensure the correct application of IT security policies.
  • Maintain liaison with local and external agencies, such as the police and fire services.
Staff Management:
  • Lead a motivated and focused security team, ensuring they are clear about their roles and objectives.
  • Provide regular training and development opportunities to enhance staff performance.
  • Arrange for extra cover, standby, and replacement security officers as needed.
Administration:
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports for monthly and planning purposes.
  • Ensure that assignment instructions, standard operating procedures, and security manuals are up-to-date and maintained.
Recruitment:
  • Monitor staffing requirements and recommend actions to management.
  • Identify training needs and ensure employees are trained to required standards.
  • Provide site training to ensure adequate numbers of qualified standby staff.

Requirements:

  • Clearance to BS7858 to obtain
  • SIA Licence – Security Guard (SG)
  • SIA Licence – Door Supervisor (DS) (if applicable to scope)
  • SIA Licence – CCTV (if applicable to scope)
  • First aid qualification
  • Customer service experience
  • Ideal 2 years management experience in a corporate security environment, HM Forces, or Police.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written English
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience of report writing, agenda setting, and chairing duty briefings
  • Negotiating skills
  • Planning, organizing, and delegating skills
  • Smart appearance
  • Cooperative with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Physically fit to carry out all functions
  • A flexible approach to work and changing demands
  • Polite and courteous when dealing with staff and clients
  • Understanding of Health & Safety at work regulations
  • Commitment to quality service in compliance with company policy and procedures
