About the Role
Kingston University is seeking a Student Money Advisor to join its Student Advice team, providing expert guidance on funding, bursaries, and housing support to students.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality advice and support to students, enabling them to access, progress, and succeed in their studies.
The role involves close collaboration with other teams, including Disability and Mental Health, Counselling and Wellbeing, and Student Engagement, to provide a comprehensive support service to students.
The primary work location will be at the University's Penrhyn Road campus, with some flexibility to work from home, in line with current University policies and business needs.
About the Person
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in advising on financial, housing, and welfare-related matters, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students in Higher Education.
They will possess excellent interviewing and case-working skills, with the ability to work with complex cases and diverse student populations.
The successful candidate will also have a detailed knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, such as Student Finance funding rules, welfare benefit rules, or housing legislation.
