We are a pioneering company in the field of solar energy, leveraging space-based solutions to drive innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Space Systems Engineer to join our team for a 3-month contract, with the potential for extension.

This role will be based in the UK, with opportunities for remote work.

**Role Overview:**

As a Senior Space Systems Engineer, you will lead the systems engineering process for our space-based projects. Your responsibilities will include guiding the technical architecture, optimizing design for cost and performance, and ensuring successful system integration. You will mentor junior engineers, manage technical budgets, and contribute to the overall mission success.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration across systems.
  • Oversee technical planning, system design, and architecture for space systems.
  • Manage system requirements, trade studies, and technical budgets.
  • Conduct simulations, develop test methods, and support spacecraft operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance and reliability.

**Requirements:**

  • 6+ years of experience in space systems engineering, with expertise in propulsion, guidance, navigation, and control systems.
  • Proficient in tools like STK, MATLAB, or Simulink.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in full product lifecycle development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
