Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Operative to join our client's team in Stoke on Trent.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the loading shovel and weighbridge on a daily basis, working alongside the Plant Manager, Assistant Manager, and three operatives.
- Responsibility for own Health and Safety and any visitors or contractors to the site.
- Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 6am-3pm and Saturdays 6am-9am (Once fully trained, Saturdays will be rota).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the loading shovel and weighbridge on a daily basis.
- Work alongside the Plant Manager, Assistant Manager, and three operatives.
- Responsibility for own Health and Safety and any visitors or contractors to the site.
- Meet production targets and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
- Experience of working within the construction sector operating a loading shovel or weighbridge.
- Individuals with experience of working in a Quarry are encouraged to apply.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and excellent inter-personal skills.
- Flexibility and initiative are essential for this demanding and rewarding position.
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers.
- Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
