About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team at BT Group. As a key member of our Technical Service Operations team, you will be responsible for delivering and implementing aspects of security solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute technical deliveries to meet customer objectives and processes.
  • Resolve incidents and service requests in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure continued system operation.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve technical direction and best practices for domains of operation.

Requirements:

  • Service management experience within the IT industry.
  • Ability to take responsibility, ownership, and autonomy of delegated platform operations and deliverables.
  • Strong technical background, including understanding of DevOps and agile team methodologies.
  • Experience delivering small to medium technical deliveries.
  • Degree-educated or equivalent industry experience.

Desired Experience:

  • Unix/Linux sysadmin management.
  • Ansible automated deployment methods.
  • SQL/Elasticsearch database management.
  • Windows Domain management.
  • VMware/vCentre management.
  • Basic networking management.
  • NAS storage/replication management.
  • Micro-services/containerized deployment.
  • Working with big data platforms.

Security Clearance:

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) level Security Clearance.
