Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialty Doctor to contribute to the Older Adult Psychiatry Team in Salford, working collaboratively with community mental health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities
•The successful candidate will join the clinical team supporting North Salford, based in Swinton, and will be supervised by Dr M Javeed.
•They will work closely with medical colleagues across the Salford area, supporting community teams with clinical activities, including meetings, CPAs, professionals' meetings, and Mental Health Act-related tasks.
•The post holder will review patients presenting to MATs clinics and conduct home visits for MATS and CMHT patients.
•They will be expected to diagnose and formulate management plans with supervision as required.
•The successful candidate will be expected to be a Section 12 Approved clinician; the Trust will support them in obtaining S12 or AC approval if necessary.
•They will work in partnership with local GPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including external partners.
•The post holder will be responsible for assessing and managing risk, including vulnerability, suicide risk, health and safety risks, and risks of harm to others.
•They will not be expected to participate in the Salford middle-grade on-call rota.
•The post holder will be professionally accountable to their clinical supervisor and the Lead Consultant (Dr M Javeed) and operationally accountable to Mr James Logue, Head of Operations.
