Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter at The Lodge at Glendorn. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen and food preparation areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment are washed and properly stored in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Sort and prioritize soiled items for washing, and maintain a clean and organized dish area.
  • Assist in food preparation as needed, and help to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to management, and maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and supplies.
  • Collaborate with culinary staff to ensure seamless service and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning equipment and storage areas.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, and maintain a clean and tidy appearance at all times.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and professional attitude, and provide excellent customer service to guests and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for long periods of time.
