Are you passionate about transportation infrastructure and eager to develop your skills in a dynamic environment? Waterman Aspen is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Highway Inspector to join our West Midlands team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support experienced Highways Inspectors on site visits and surveys
  • Assist with the assessment and maintenance of highways assets
  • Drive to various sites, utilizing a Chapter 8 marked van provided by the client
  • Develop excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, handling a range of issues and conflicting demands
  • Meet tight deadlines and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
  • Understanding of highway maintenance principles and practices
  • Willingness to learn and develop a career in highways maintenance
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Awareness of relevant legislation and codes of practice, such as the Highways Act 1980 and Well Managed Highway Infrastructure
