About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Underwriter to join our Bristol Regional Service Centre. As a Fleet Underwriter, you will be responsible for building and maintaining productive relationships with our network of NFU Mutual agents, delivering technical support and assistance on new business, existing business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse and evaluate insurance risks and propose and negotiate policy terms in accordance with NFU Mutual Underwriting principles and standards.
  • Review and check insurance quote submissions, referrals, and amendments, liaising with Agents to establish material facts to ensure new business and policy changes meet NFU Mutual Underwriting criteria.
  • Process and refer policy cancellations, investigating and evaluating disclosures and non-disclosure of material facts in liaison with Agencies in accordance with levels of authority, policy terms, SLAs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Claims, Senior Technicians, and Agents to ensure the effective delivery of objectives and first-class customer service.
Requirements
  • Experience in Fleet Underwriting and holding either an intermediate underwriting license or actively working towards it.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and achieve high-quality standards.
  • A strong customer focus and ability to build lasting relationships.
