Position Overview

Brook Street is pleased to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Case Administrator to join our esteemed Public Sector client. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing administrative assistance within the Probation Service (PS), ensuring that both staff and individuals on probation receive the necessary support through streamlined processes.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves collaborating closely with a Blind Probation Officer, which entails specific daily tasks, including:

  • Transporting the officer to and from their residence for work purposes.
  • Assisting with reading emails and performing general administrative duties such as typing and note-taking.
  • Guiding the officer around the workplace and providing support as needed.
Job Duties

The Case Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and maintaining accurate records for individuals on probation and victims within approved databases.
  • Facilitating effective administration of referrals and fostering relationships among offender management, victims, service providers, and external agencies to enhance positive outcomes and mitigate risks.
  • Preparing, organizing, and compiling case files and management information in accordance with established standards.
  • Receiving and disseminating information through various channels, including telephone, paper, and email.
  • Providing comprehensive reception and telephone inquiry services.
  • Acting as the primary contact within the unit for specialized areas of work as required.
  • Managing interactions with individuals on probation, including those in crisis or displaying challenging behavior, while seeking appropriate support as per office procedures.
  • Coordinating practical arrangements such as appointments and directions to implement the Sentence Plan.
  • Executing enforcement administration tasks as necessary.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Proficiency in using in-house systems and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Strong typing skills and the ability to book appointments efficiently.
  • Experience in attending meetings and taking notes and action points.
Essential Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Possession of a full driving license.
  • Able to work from an office environment.
  • Availability for full-time work.
  • Willingness to undergo clearance and onboarding checks for Public Sector employment.
  • Ability to pass a DBS check.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour (weekly pay in arrears)
Location: Newcastle
Working Type: Office-based
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

Duration: Ongoing - long term
