Job Summary

The Control of Contractors Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and successful management of all subcontractor works. This position requires a strong understanding of subcontractor management, risk assessment, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement subcontractor prequalification processes, reviewing risk assessments and method statements to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Liaise with subcontractor groups and key stakeholders to ensure timely issue of work authorizations and permits to work.
  • Plan and prioritize works in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all relevant subcontractor health and safety information is proactively obtained and thoroughly reviewed.
  • Ensure all relevant risks and associated control measures have been robustly adopted prior to authorization of works.
  • Audit and inspect subcontractor works to ensure adherence to procedural and legislative requirements.
  • Report, investigate, and drive corrective/preventative actions in instances of subcontractor violations and non-conformances.
  • Develop strong relationships with subcontractor groups to drive a culture of trust, collaboration, and adherence.

Requirements

  • IOSH certification and experience in the built environment.
  • Strong understanding of subcontractor management, risk assessment, and governance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
