About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Officer to join our Children's Services team at Torbay Council. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a vital role in providing expert legal advice and representation to our clients across a range of children's public law and private law matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear and accurate legal advice to our clients and colleagues.
  • Represent our clients in court proceedings, including care and adoption cases.
  • Work collaboratively with our Children's Services teams to ensure the safeguarding of children and the delivery of our statutory functions.
Requirements
  • Experience of law and practice relating to Child Care and Adoption.
  • Ability to effectively use IT equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
