About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team in Bristol, Newport, or Newcastle. As a Principal or Senior Engineer, you will lead the delivery of projects focused on environmental improvement, flood risk management, and infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including contracts, budgeting, specification preparation, scheduling, change management, and risk assessment.
  • Provide technical leadership in developing sustainable and resilient solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Promote technical innovation to enhance efficiency and quality, adopting the latest methodologies and tools.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead Safety in Design, ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and environmental legislation.
  • Lead and support business development through successful tender submissions.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Engage in STEM activities, attend conferences, and collaborate with academic institutions.
About You

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our multidisciplinary team, which includes engineers, ecologists, and geomorphologists. You will be involved in civil and environmental engineering projects that promote nature-based solutions and climate resilience, such as natural flood management initiatives.

Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering.
  • Chartered status with an appropriate professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • A passion for sustainability and resilience to climate change.
