About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Gleeds, a leading global property and construction consultancy. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing contracts from inception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contracts from inception to completion, including tender evaluation, contract administration, and post-contract support.
  • Operate with NEC forms of contract, including Option A, B, C, and E, as well as bespoke forms of contract.
  • Engage with stakeholders across a portfolio of projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Issue and review early warning notices, priced and assessed compensation events, and monthly commercial reporting.
  • Manage contractors and subcontractors' accounts, update risk registers, review programmes, and issue payment certificates and valuation assessments.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, ideally in the Nuclear, Civil Engineering, or Engineering sectors.
  • Broad technical knowledge of procurement, supply chain, cost, and commercial management, including both pre- and post-contract experience.
  • Ideal qualifications include HNC, HND, or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Law, or a related discipline.
