Our client is a progressive Energy from Waste facility that is committed to growth and innovation. We are looking for an individual who is eager to contribute to this evolution and assist in driving the organization forward. This facility has the capacity to recover energy from a substantial amount of refuse-derived fuel annually.
Employment Type: Permanent / Full-time (40 hours, 8am to 5pm)
Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 (negotiable based on experience)
Under the guidance of the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Establishing and managing commercial agreements for the entire site.
- Overseeing a small team to ensure timely deliverables, identifying development opportunities, and serving as the escalation point.
- Monitoring daily purchase order and invoice processes, along with other financial transactions.
- Assisting the management team with financial forecasting and budget planning.
- Conducting financial analysis and cash flow forecasting.
- Collaborating with the finance team (off-site) to provide necessary information and analyses promptly.
Qualifications:
- A level 4 (or higher) qualification in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Commercialism, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
OR
At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.Required Experience:
- Proficient in negotiating with suppliers, including contract and payment terms.
- Experience in implementing and monitoring cash flow processes and controls.
- Financial reporting and budgeting skills, including reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with procurement software and management tools (experience with Shire systems is advantageous).
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with a focus on detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Capability to work independently and take initiative.
