Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Babcock. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing all mechanical engineering design work in support of winning and delivering projects for our key customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment to meet customer specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet business needs and customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including datasheets, material lists, and engineering reports.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and MathCAD.
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
