Job Title – Industrial Electrical Engineer

Are you a skilled professional looking for a challenging opportunity in electrical maintenance? We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Engineer to join our team at MDE Group UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Attend emergency/unscheduled repairs of factory equipment during unplanned shutdowns, utilizing your expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Capable of repairing electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic devices, with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment throughout the factory, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Safely use all hand and power tools, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to electrical failure, reporting conditions and recommending steps to be taken to prevent future occurrences.
  • Perform preventative maintenance such as changing contacts, checking motors, according to instructions, to ensure equipment is running at peak efficiency.
  • Install cables, conduit, for new equipment or replacing old ones, with a focus on quality and safety.

Requirements

  • A sound knowledge of electrical preventative engineering principles, with a comprehensive understanding of condition-based plant monitoring systems.
  • A formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC or equivalent.
  • A general knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment, with a strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • A good working knowledge of continuous process environments, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
